Food Additives and Hyperactivity in Children

How Food Additives Effect Hyperactivity

Can hyperactivity be linked to diet?  Seems there is a new study that has piqued everyone’s attention and could potentially influence food policy in Canada.  Here is an article if you haven’t come across it yourself yet.

I have not read the primary research, but I echo Dr. Edward Hallowell’s sentiments.  He is the leading ADHD guy, and his approach includes getting some real basics in place that are often missing in families:  good eating, good sleeping, order and routines, etc.

I often refer to the expression “children who feel good, do good.”  That includes emotional and physical wellness.  I know eating balanced, wholesome and freshly prepared food is a good healthy start for all children – regardless of how much they like to talk, interrupt, jiggle and bounce.
