Dear Allyson. I spoke, with you, briefly, after the conference at St Anne’s School in Peterborough, Ont. I had asked if you had any advice, with regard to Teenagers. Our grandson, brilliant and all round athlete, already accomplished and awarded, now seems bent on self destructing. He has already jeapordized return to varied organized sports, lost privileges, repeatedly offended, and used, and is using drink and drugs, forcing police officials to compile and record offences, repeatedly skipping classes and returning”high” Teachers and superiors repeatedly attempt to help, by not punishing but encourage him to do better and try again. They’ve gone out on alimb to save him and he just ‘BLOWS IT AGAIN AND AGAIN” In as much as it distresses, our daughter and husband, and others of us who love the dear lad, our daughter rightfully is focused on getting him to a better state, saying it’s not about us, it’s all about her son. We must stay focused on him and what’s ailing him, and why he has he chosen such demons? This once radiant, beautiful child is already in such a sate, and totally unbothered about who and how it hurts, and fears no consequences, even to testing the officials, by repeating against warnings. Do you have any suggestions?
