TAPTalk: Classroom Management – An Adlerian Approach

Tags: ,

Calling all teachers and nursery/pre-school educators:  I wanted to share this FREE educational opportunity with you! It is a great opportunity to learn about how to understand misbehaviour and encourage cooperation instead.  In essence, it’s an introduction on learning how to be “Adlerian” in the classroom.

Presenter:  Cindy Walton-McCawley, M.Ed.

Date: Thursday, January 21st, 2016

Time: 9:00pm-10:00pm EST

Call-in Details:  Call (641) 798-4200, Guest access code: 4892130#

Details: Teaches of young children are in strong position to encourage self reliance and concern for others using classroom management and child rearing principles based upon the Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler.  The presenter will demonstrate a model to help teachers and consultants understand children’s behaviour from an Adlerian frame of reference.  Attendees will learn how to develop techniques to stop the use of misbehaviour and to encourage the skills of cooperation and responsibility in children birth to age 5 based upon the model.
